This album has been recorded at Hotel Uno in Prague during the pandemic and it captures those dark lonely days I've had inside the smallest hotel room with no kitchen for 10 months. I started writing new songs shortly after moving out to live alone, tried experimenting with my new equalisers and even thought up my signature tuning.

I recorded every song the old-school way, every guitar, bass and drum track on the album was recorded live in one single take. Also, I've tried recording songs in a way which would allow me to recreate them live, so there are only 2 guitar tracks on every single track at most. In the end, i got an album which combines something from every previous release, but at the same time sounds like nothing I've heard.

Raw draft of the album was finished in February 2021. By that time I've already made up my mind about the future sound and was ready to start recording the final version, but so many things kept happening, I couldn't get access to my rec laptop, my life conditions kept me from recording for the next 6 months and the overall depressing atmosphere rubbed off on the album.

I like to think of Hotel One as a kind of a diary, which only captions the vibe of the place, nothing like being stuck in one small disturbing room for ten months, waking up to construction noise right outside my window and waiting for the end of all that. I moved away from there and finished the recording in my new place, which is million times nicer :)
